1. Who we are

Huspr is a household and building operations app operated by Huspr ("we", "us", "our"). We are based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. You can reach our privacy team at privacy@huspr.com.

2. What this policy covers

This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the Huspr mobile app or web app, what we do with that information, and the choices you have about how it's handled.

3. The information we collect

Information you give us

  • Your name and (optionally) your email address — used to identify you to other members of your household, family, or building, and to send essential service emails (sign-in confirmations, invoices, security alerts).
  • Profile photo — optional, used as your avatar.
  • Household membership and roles — information about which households or families you belong to and your role within them.
  • Tasks, comments, voice notes, photos, videos, and other content you record or upload to your households, including medicine entries, grocery items, expenses, and notes.

Information from your sign-in provider

When you sign in with Microsoft, Apple, or Google, we receive a unique user identifier from that provider plus your verified email. We do not receive your password and do not have access to your other accounts.

Information collected automatically

  • Device information — model, OS version, and time zone. Used to send notifications correctly and to debug crashes.
  • Usage events — which screens you view, which actions you take. Used to improve the product.
  • Crash reports — collected to fix bugs.
  • Push tokens — used solely to deliver push notifications to your device.

We do not collect your contacts list, your other apps, browsing history outside the app, or advertising identifiers.

4. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to operate the app, authenticate you, coordinate with household members, improve the app through aggregate usage analysis, communicate essential service messages, and keep the app secure.

We do not sell your data, use your data for advertising, or allow third parties to track you across other apps or websites.

5. Voice notes and transcription

When you press and hold the microphone button, we record audio while you speak. The audio is sent to Azure AI Speech (hosted in UAE North) for transcription into text. The original audio is then discarded — only the transcribed text is stored against your task.

If your voice note is interpreted by our AI parser, we send only the text and minimal context. We do not send any identifying information about you, your household members, or your medicines.

6. Health and medicine information

If you use the Medicine module, you may record medicine names, doses, schedules, and a subject-of-record. This information is linked to your account, visible to other admins in the household as required for shared management, never used for advertising or analytics targeting, and never shared with insurers, employers, or pharmacies unless you explicitly export and share it yourself.

We do not integrate with Apple HealthKit or Google Fit.

7. Push notifications

Push notifications we send are intentionally free of personal information. They typically say "Task assigned" or "Medicine due" — not the actual task title or medicine name. The full details are displayed only inside the app's authenticated session.

You can turn off push notifications at any time from your device settings or in-app at Profile → Notifications.

8. Where we store your data

Your data is hosted in Microsoft Azure UAE North (Dubai). Backups are kept in Azure-managed geo-redundant storage within the UAE region. If you are located in the European Economic Area, your data may be transferred to and processed in the UAE under standard contractual clauses and equivalent protections.

9. How long we keep your data

While your account is active we retain your account data and content. After you delete your account we permanently delete your account data within 30 days, and backups are overwritten within 90 days. Voice recordings are discarded within seconds of transcription and never persisted.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, and object to the processing of your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@huspr.com from the email address associated with your account. You can also export your data or delete your account at any time from inside the app at Profile → Settings.

11. Children

Huspr is not intended for children under 13 (or 16 where that is the applicable age of digital consent). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

12. Security

We protect your information with TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest, role-based access control, JWT-based sessions with 7-day expiry, and no password storage on our side (authentication is delegated to Microsoft, Apple, or Google). If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app, send a service email where appropriate, and post a notice at the top of this page.
