Medicine reminders that respect your family's privacy

June 13, 2026 · 2 min read

Caring for a family member's medication is one of the most stressful jobs a household takes on — and one of the most sensitive. You're tracking doses, refills, and schedules for someone you love, often while juggling everything else. The last thing you want is for that information to leak somewhere it shouldn't.

Most health apps make a quiet trade: convenience in exchange for your data. Their reminders work, but the details flow into analytics pipelines, advertising profiles, and increasingly, large AI models. For a grocery list, maybe you shrug. For a parent's prescriptions, that's not a trade most people would make if they saw it spelled out.

Huspr is built to give you the convenience without the trade.

Capture a prescription in seconds

Point your camera at a prescription and Huspr reads it — the medicine, the dose, the schedule. You confirm, and it's set up: the right reminders at the right times, with a clear view of who has taken what. Built so that an elderly parent can tap one big button to confirm a dose, and a busy carer can check in from across the city.

The hard privacy line

Here's the rule we hold to, with no exceptions: medicine names and the names of the people they belong to are never sent to any AI service.

When Huspr does use AI — for example, to make sense of a spoken request — it only ever receives a category and a de-identified count. Something like "there is one item low on the health list". The real names are assembled on our own servers, shown only to the people in your household who are meant to see them, and never anywhere else.

That means you get smart, timely help and the assurance that the most sensitive information in your home stays in your home.

Shared, but controlled

Medication is rarely a one-person job. Huspr lets the right people — an adult child, a spouse, a trusted helper — see and act on a care plan, while the owner stays in control of who has access. Everyone's working from the same accurate picture, and nobody's left guessing whether the morning dose was taken.

Quietly on your side

Good software for the home should feel calm, not extractive. Reminders that respect the people they're about. Help that doesn't come at the cost of a family's privacy. That's the standard we're building Huspr to.

If you're caring for someone, that peace of mind is worth more than any feature list. It's the whole point.
